Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav narrowly avoided a serious accident on Saturday morning. A speeding truck collided with two vehicles in his convoy near Goraul in Vaishali district, while he was returning to Patna after a political event in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a brief tea break along the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway around 12:30 AM. Although Yadav was a few meters away at the time, the truck crashed into the stationary security vehicles. Fortunately, his personal vehicle was not hit, and he was unharmed. However, three security personnel were injured in the impact and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Yadav visited them after the accident to check on their condition. The injured officials are now in stable condition, though they sustained bruises and minor fractures. Local police arrested the truck driver at the scene and impounded the vehicle. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, with initial reports suggesting speeding or driver fatigue as potential factors. The incident has reignited concerns regarding the security of political figures during long-distance travel on Bihar roads, especially late at night. RJD supporters expressed relief on social media, while others called for enhanced road safety measures and stricter traffic rule enforcement. Party leaders have urged a thorough review of VIP security protocols, particularly in situations involving poor visibility and challenging road conditions. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his demanding political schedule and frequent travels throughout Bihar, has resumed his activities, reassuring his supporters of his well-being.
