With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, political parties are intensifying their preparations. Amidst this, former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has announced a ‘return gift’ for the women of Bihar on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He shared his plans for the state’s women via a social media post on X, extending Raksha Bandhan greetings. Yadav outlined a series of promises he intends to fulfill if his party wins the election. He appealed to the women to consider him as their brother and support him in the upcoming elections. He emphasized his commitment to addressing issues such as unemployment, inflation, crime, poverty, and corruption. Yadav highlighted his vision of making Bihar a leading state and sought the support of women to achieve this goal. The announcement includes plans ranging from financial assistance to essential services, with a focus on women’s empowerment. Yadav also criticized the previous governments for what he considered a negative approach to governance and vowed to recover funds allegedly misappropriated by them to distribute as a ‘Shagun’ amount to the women of Bihar.
