Tejashwi Yadav Challenges NDA Ministers Over Reservation

The reservation controversy in Bihar has taken a dramatic turn after opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav publicly challenged two NDA ministers, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan. Yadav demanded that both resign and contest the next election from an unreserved seat, arguing that the political elite cannot decide the fate of constitutional safeguards.

Manjhi, who heads the Ministry of Social Justice, has been vocal about revisiting the quota system. He proposes a more granular approach, suggesting sub‑quotas to ensure the most marginalized benefit. Paswan, a prominent figure in the NDA, counters that reservation is rooted in social discrimination, not economic criteria, and any dilution would be unacceptable.
