An unusual incident occurred in East Champaran, Bihar, where a train was delayed for approximately half an hour due to a dog. The incident involved a dog that had been tied up in the women’s compartment of the Raxaul-Samastipur passenger train. Passengers panicked upon discovering the dog, causing them to exit the carriage out of fear. The train manager was notified, and subsequently, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel and station staff arrived at the scene. After the officials sealed the compartment following the completion of paperwork, the train was allowed to continue its journey. The dog was later handed over to the Animal Welfare Board in Darbhanga by the DRM of Samastipur division.
