The three-week departmental training program for District Art and Culture officials of the Art, Culture, and Youth Department of the Bihar government concluded at the Dashrath Manjhi Labour Employment Study Institute in Patna. The closing ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp, inaugurated jointly by N. Vijayalakshmi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, and Pranav Kumar Ray, Secretary of the Department, along with other senior officials.
In her address, Vijayalakshmi congratulated all the District Art and Culture officials, stating that it was a matter of joy that the cultural talents of the remote areas of the state would now be able to gain recognition at national and international levels.
She emphasized the need for coordination between folk traditions and classical arts, inspiring the younger generations to inherit the cultural heritage. Department Secretary Pranav Kumar Ray addressed the officials, stating that after the intensive three-week training period, their knowledge would have definitely increased significantly, which would prove helpful in the effective implementation of departmental schemes at the district level.
Certificates and mementos were presented to all District Art and Culture officials at the ceremony. Presentations of what the trainees had learned during the training were made through PPTs in groups. Sukanya from Munger presented on connecting youth through arts, Kirti Alok of Patna presented on the role of museums in a changing environment, Chandan of Darbhanga on cultural and economic development through films, Richa Verma on Bihar’s folk music: from conservation to innovation, and Shyam on every house an art. These presentations were very effective.
On this occasion, Cultural Works Director Ruby also encouraged the officials, saying that these trained officers will now smoothly conduct departmental work in the district with confidence. Anil Kumar Singh presented the vote of thanks at the closing ceremony. Internal Financial Advisor Rana Sujit Kumar Tuntun, Special Officer Kahkashan, Film Consultant of Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Arvind Ranjan Das, Public Relations Officer of the Sports Department Nupur Jha, along with a large number of officers and employees, were present throughout the program.
