Gunfire has become a frequent occurrence in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The recent spate of murders and ransom demands suggests a waning fear of the police among criminals. Despite police efforts, offenders appear to be openly challenging the authorities. Within 24 hours, criminals have committed several major crimes in the capital. The latest incident occurred in the Bikram police station area of the Paliganj subdivision, near Patna. Unidentified criminals shot and killed two youths riding a motorcycle on the Manjhauli Singara road.
Both youths died on the spot in the shooting. After receiving information about the incident, a team from the local police reached the spot. Following this, information about the incident was given to the Patna FSL team. However, the identities of both the deceased youths have not yet been established.
According to the information received, on Tuesday morning, people from the village were out for a walk on the Manjhauli Singara road. They saw a black and red Apache bike on the side of the road and the bodies of two youths lying a short distance away. The bodies were covered in blood. As soon as the people saw the bodies, the news spread like wildfire throughout the village.
After this, the villagers first informed Dial 112. After the information, the police from Bikram police station reached the spot and started investigating the matter. However, the identification of both the deceased youths has not yet been possible. During the investigation, the police have also recovered several empty bullet casings from the crime scene. It is suspected that both youths were murdered by firing late at night.
Regarding the incident, Bikram Station House Officer Vinod Kumar said that the villagers of Bikram informed that there were two dead bodies of youths on the side of the road in Manjhauli Singara road. The youths were murdered by shooting. A bike was also found at the spot. The police have recovered 9 to 10 bullet casings from the crime scene.
