Following an alleged audio recording of a conversation between Bihar’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Bhai Virendra and a Panchayat Secretary in Maner, a controversy has erupted. The incident has ignited outrage among the residents of Beldari village, the ancestral home of Panchayat Secretary Sandeep Kumar. Villagers are demanding an impartial investigation into the matter. Local residents Mohammad Abulesh Kais and Rajindra Sharma have praised Sandeep Kumar’s good nature. The villagers have expressed their disapproval of the MLA’s language and behavior, stating that it is unbecoming of a public representative to issue threats. RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, also questioned the party’s stance, asking whether action would be taken against MLA Bhai Virendra. He posted his question on X (formerly Twitter). Sandeep Kumar’s father stated that his son reached this position after much struggle. Sandeep’s mother died when he was a child, and his grandmother raised him. His father tearfully recalled a statement from Sandeep’s teacher, who said, ‘You can cut off the head, but you cannot bow your head.’ His father said, “Our son is a lion.”
