BJP Lawmakers Criticise Congress Over JPSC Protests and Parliamentary Gridlock

BJP parliamentarians launched a series of accusations against the Congress‑led opposition, alleging that it is responsible for the recent gridlock in parliament. Jagdambika Pal asserted that the opposition has been creating a scene in the Lok Sabha without any valid justification.

Pal highlighted the ongoing student sit‑in at Ranchi's Jaypal Singh Stadium, where thousands of JPSC aspirants have been on hunger strike for 13 days demanding a probe into alleged paper leaks. She said the state cabinet has ignored their demands, and even the chief minister has not approached the protestors.

Sushmita Dev called on opposition leaders to present their grievances inside the chamber, noting that parliamentary speeches become part of the official record and allow both sides to argue their case. She thanked Prime Minister Modi for engaging with first‑time MPs for nearly an hour to address their concerns.

Defence Minister Sanjay Seth condemned the Jharkhand government's inaction, stating that basic amenities such as electricity and sanitation were denied to the protestors despite heavy rainfall. He urged a CBI investigation into the alleged JPSC recruitment scam.

Arun Govil added that the opposition resorts to theatrics, bringing placards and disrupting proceedings instead of debating key policies, a behaviour that contravenes parliamentary conventions.
