In Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Vishal Soni, the son of local BJP leader Mahesh Soni, orchestrated a deception to evade a ₹1.40 crore loan. The incident began with reports of Soni’s drowning in the Kalisindh River. Authorities and rescue teams spent ten days searching a 20-kilometer stretch of the river. However, the drowning was a fabricated event. While officials conducted the search, Soni was in hiding in Maharashtra. His scheme also involved a false kidnapping report filed at the Fardapur police station. Eventually, he was apprehended and confessed to staging his death to avoid the debt. The authorities had located his car in the Kalisindh River on September 5th, sparking the extensive search efforts.
