On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hosted a yoga session at Ghanta Ghar in Lal Chowk, Srinagar. Party members, locals, and yoga enthusiasts gathered early at the historically significant city square. Concurrently, the central event took place in Visakhapatnam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nationwide Yoga Day celebrations. The Prime Minister highlighted yoga’s universal appeal, uniting people through health and harmony. He praised the Andhra Pradesh government and its leaders for hosting the event, which saw over three lakh participants. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ emphasizes global wellness and reflects India’s vision. The Prime Minister also recalled India’s initiative at the United Nations to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day.
