The Supreme Court will hear the case of stray dogs today, amidst ongoing protests against its orders. Chief Justice Gavai has constituted a three-judge bench for the hearing, comprising Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and N.V. Anjaria. Earlier, a bench of Justices Pardiwala and R. Mahadevan had ordered the capture and relocation of dogs to shelter homes. The Supreme Court will also hear the SIR case today. Yesterday, the apex court stated that SIR is not against voters and urged against defaming Bihar. A total of 11 documents are valid in SIR, and demanding one is incorrect. Additionally, Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer will withdraw the application on Thursday, citing a threat to the Congress leader’s life.
