The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, which occurred during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, has taken a new turn. Vipin Raghuvanshi, the brother of the deceased Indore businessman, is now calling for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. He claims a recently surfaced phone conversation casts suspicion on Sonam Raghuvanshi’s entire family, alleging their involvement in the brutal killing. Police investigations indicate that Sonam orchestrated Raja’s murder with her lover, Raj Kushwaha, and three hired killers. Raja’s body was discovered in a ravine in Sohra on June 2nd. Vipin has criticized the Meghalaya police for their handling of the investigation, particularly the ease with which several co-accused have been granted bail. He also mentioned an unverified call recording purportedly showing Sonam communicating with her family from jail, a claim her family denies. Vipin accuses Sonam’s family of involvement in securing her bail. Recently, the East Khasi Hills Court in Meghalaya granted bail to Silom James, who was accused of tampering with evidence and sheltering Sonam and Raj. Two other accused, Lokendra Singh Tomar and Balbir Ahirwa, were also previously granted bail. Sonam, Raj Kushwaha, and the three alleged contract killers remain in custody.
