Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, announced development projects worth 241.50 crore rupees for the residents of Bhilai. He stated that the entire region, including Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, and Rajnandgaon, would benefit from the State Capital Region initiative, leading to accelerated development and the expansion of urban amenities. The Chief Minister also declared 20 crore rupees for a new office building for the Bhilai Municipal Corporation. Sai emphasized the government’s commitment to urban development, highlighting the rapid expansion of urban facilities. He mentioned the establishment of the Good Governance and Convergence Department to ensure good governance and accountability, with a focus on digitizing and making administration transparent across the state for the direct benefit of citizens. He also noted the launch of Atal Digital Seva Kendras in 1460 gram panchayats and plans to include 5,000 more within the next six months. All gram panchayats in Chhattisgarh will have Atal Digital Seva Kendras by April 24, 2026, coinciding with Panchayati Raj Day.
