A shocking incident has occurred in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh, where a minor girl has been accused of murdering a man. The victim had repeatedly scolded the girl for using her mobile phone. Enraged by this, the 14-year-old girl attacked the man with a ‘tangiya’ (a type of axe), inflicting fatal injuries to his head and face. The incident came to light on August 12th when police received information about the murder, which took place between 10 AM and 12 PM in a house in Amera village. The deceased was identified as Purushottam Yadav, whose body was discovered in a pool of blood on the veranda of his house. A case under Section 103(1) BNS was registered at Palari police station, and an investigation was launched. SP Bhavna Gupta took the matter seriously and directed the Palari police to investigate the case. The FSL team also conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene. Police questioned neighbors, relatives, and acquaintances of the deceased. During questioning, the 14-year-old girl initially appeared nervous and changed her statements repeatedly. However, after being questioned in a psychological manner by the police team, she confessed to the murder of Purushottam Yadav, recounting the events leading up to the crime. The girl revealed that the victim repeatedly reprimanded her and forbade her from using her mobile phone. Angered by this, she attacked Purushottam Yadav with an iron ‘tangiya’, resulting in his death. The minor girl has been arrested and presented before the court.
