Raipur. Payment of fifteenth installment of May 2025 was released by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana today. A total amount of Rs 648.38 crore was transferred to more than 69.32 lakh women of the state in their bank account by the Women and Child Development Department.
Significantly, this scheme was started in March 2024 by the Government of Chhattisgarh to strengthen women financially. So far, an amount of Rs 9788.78 crore has been provided to the women of the state in 15 consecutive months. Under the scheme, assistance of one thousand rupees per month is provided to women married, widow, divorced and abandoned women in the age group of 21 to 60 years.
Appeal to update Aadhaar card
The Department of Women and Child Development has appealed to the beneficiary women to update their Aadhaar card, so that there is no problem in payment of the amount. It is to be known that it is mandatory to update the Aadhaar card every 10 years. Payment of many beneficiaries has been canceled due to the inactivity. Such beneficiaries are required to go to Aadhaar center and update Aadhaar with identity and residence certificate, so that payment of the upcoming installment can be ensured.
