The weather department has issued alerts to the people and administrations of the concerned states, urging them to be cautious. The monsoon is expected to advance to the remaining parts of West UP, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan within the next 24 hours.
The southwest monsoon has not yet fully activated in Delhi-NCR. All monsoon conditions, such as clouds, humidity, and winds, are present in Delhi, but no rainfall has been observed in the capital. However, light rain may occur in the capital today due to the influence of a western disturbance. Rain activities may intensify in the capital during the 27th to 29th, especially on the 28th. Good rainfall can be expected in the coming week.
**Rainfall Forecast for the Next 24 Hours**
According to the weather department, light to moderate rainfall is expected in western Uttar Pradesh, western Rajasthan, Vidarbha, and Marathwada during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in northern Punjab, northern Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, eastern Gujarat, Kerala, Northeast India, Sikkim, and the northern parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Heavy rainfall is also expected in some places. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in the western Himalayan region, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka.
**Warning of Lightning Strikes in Several Districts of Odisha**
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur in Jharkhand, Ranchi, Dhanbad, and Jamtara, as well as Bardhaman and Hooghly in West Bengal. Lightning is also possible. A warning has been issued for lightning strikes in several districts of Odisha, including Cuttack. There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in several districts of Bihar, including Patna.
