A Tree in Mother's Name Campaign Transforms Barren Forest Land
Success Story
Raipur, The 'A Tree in Mother's Name' campaign, led by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, has presented an inspiring example of connecting environmental conservation with public participation. Under this campaign, large-scale sapling plantation was carried out on forest land freed from encroachment, giving a new direction to increasing greenery and forest conservation in the region.
A large sapling plantation program was organized in the forest area adjacent to Bade Dongar Panchayat in the project area of Farsgaon, Jagdalpur. Public representatives, forest department officials, employees, and local villagers enthusiastically participated in this campaign and planted a large number of saplings.
During the program, people were encouraged to plant a sapling in their mother's name and take care of it. This initiative has conveyed the message of honoring mothers along with environmental conservation to society.
This sapling plantation on encroachment-free land will promote afforestation in the area, increase green cover, and strengthen environmental balance in the coming years. Local people will benefit from a clean environment, better water conservation, and enrichment of natural resources.
The 'A Tree in Mother's Name' campaign is not limited to just planting trees; it is becoming a mass movement inspiring people to connect with nature and fulfill their responsibility towards environmental conservation. This initiative is proving to be a significant step towards building a safe and green future for coming generations.
