The Urban Administration and Development Department has given instructions for cleaning drains and drains before the rainy season and necessary arrangements in possible flood affected areas. The department has issued circulars to all the urban bodies of the state and asked to remove raw and firm encroachments and obstructions on drains and drains. The department has also given instructions to remove boards, signboards, signages, advertisements, electrical wires and height lines in trees.
The Urban Administration Department has said in a circular sent to the commissioners of all the municipal corporations and the main municipality officers of the municipalities and the Nagar Panchayats that in the rainy season, it is often seen that due to lack of proper cleaning of drains for the drainage of rain water in the cities, the flooding of floods are created due to lack of proper cleaning of drains and not removing the obstruction of water drainage paths. To prevent this situation, ensure all the necessary preparations before the rain.
The department has instructed the directorate to clean the streets and intersections along the main roads of the city in the circular issued circular. Complete and regular cleaning of all drains and drains of the city should be done deeply to the end. Full care should be taken by this work in any way, river or water is not polluted. The department has asked to remove the construction materials through the path of water flow in the under construction drains and drains, so that there is continuous continuity in the flow of water. Instructions have also been given to remove the raw-paved encroachments and obstructions manufactured in drains and drains.
The Urban Administration Department has asked all the bodies to establish flood control room and appoint the necessary staff, tools, machines etc. as well as the nodal officer. Ensuring 24 hours of working of the flood control room, it has also been asked to promote widespread propagation of its phone number etc. Along with identification of lower settlements and possible flood -affected areas, instructions have been given to identify temporarily safe sites for the affected by estimating the affected.
The department has also instructed the arrangement of clean drinking water in possible flood -affected areas. In other areas also, there is a possibility of infectious diseases during floods and the effect of floods. When such a situation is created, the concerned department has been asked to inform it. The Directorate has asked all the urban bodies to strictly follow the guidelines issued to deal with uninterrupted and smooth operation of civil services during the rainy season.
