Ankush Dewangan of Bhilai creates a miracle — Sculpts a miniature statue of Modi ji on marble
Micro Art Masterpiece: Artist from Bhilai creates a miniature statue of Modi ji, Chief Minister praises
Raipur, November 13, 2025/Ankush Dewangan (55), a resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, has once again surprised everyone with his unique art. Today, during the Jan Darshan program, he presented a special frame to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, which contains a small statue of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, intricately carved from marble. Behind the frame, a grand replica of the newly constructed Shri Ramlala Temple in Ayodhya is also engraved. Seeing this amazing creation, the Chief Minister highly praised Shri Dewangan and wished him best of luck.
A microscopic lens is fitted in the frame to view the statue, with the help of which the subtle expressions, smile, and fine lines of Prime Minister Modi’s face are clearly visible. By carving a tiny piece of marble, Shri Dewangan has created this unique artistic marvel.
Shri Ankush Dewangan works as an Administrative Assistant at Bhilai Steel Plant, but since childhood, he has been inclined towards shaping small objects and creating unique artifacts from them. At the tender age of 10, he made his first small wooden toy. Subsequently, he made metal casting molds, sculpted clay idols, and finally adopted the art of stone carving. For the past 45 years, he has been continuously setting new benchmarks in the world of micro art.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai held the frame, examined it carefully, and said, “This is not just art, it is a symbol of dedication and patience. The way Ankush ji has beautifully expressed his feelings towards the Prime Minister is commendable.”
Proposing to organize an exhibition at the state level, the Chief Minister said that it is the government’s responsibility to encourage such talented artists.
Shri Dewangan mentioned that it took him about two months to create this half-centimeter-sized statue. His routine was ‘job by day and art by night’. He said, “Modi ji fulfilled the dream of the Ram Temple, so I have placed both in the same frame. This is my small contribution.”
People usually come to the Jan Darshan of the Chief Minister’s office with their problems, but today one person came with his art and won everyone’s heart. Chief Minister Shri Sai has decided to keep this frame in a special place in his office.
Shri Ankush Dewangan’s next goal is to create the world’s smallest replica of the Ram Setu. Smiling, he said, “As long as my hands work, I will keep creating something new.”
