On October 4th, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, for the Bastar Dussehra and Muriya Darbar events. During the event, he will facilitate the transfer of funds to the bank accounts of beneficiaries under the Chhattisgarh government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana. A total of 606.94 crore rupees will be distributed. This marks the 20th installment of the scheme, benefiting 64,94,768 women across the state. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, initiated on March 1, 2024, aims to empower women economically by providing 1,000 rupees per month to married women over the age of 21. So far, 12,376.19 crore rupees have been transferred to beneficiaries in 19 installments. With the upcoming 20th installment, the total amount distributed will exceed 12,983.13 crore rupees.
