A significant step has been taken to boost sports and health education in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Union Minister of Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi. During the meeting, it was agreed that the Bastar Olympics would be conducted as ‘Khelo India Tribal Games’ starting this year. Additionally, Chief Minister Sai proposed the establishment of 220-bed medical and nursing colleges in Raipur and Bilaspur to provide quality health education and better medical facilities. Minister Mandaviya assured that the central government would soon make a positive decision and initiate the necessary approval process for the colleges. The Chief Minister also requested the establishment of a regional center of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Chhattisgarh and the construction of new stadiums and training centers to strengthen sports infrastructure in the state. The Union Minister also assured speedy approval for these requests. The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Subodh Singh, and the Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rahul Bhagat, were also present at the occasion.
