Housing construction found complete during inspection
Raipur, November 27, 2025/ The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana was launched with the objective of providing housing to the rural poor and addressing the housing problem. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, beneficiaries are encouraged to build quality houses using local materials and trained masons. The houses are built by the beneficiary strictly according to geotag norms and the actual situation, and during the inspection, the housing was found to be complete.
Providing pucca houses to rural homeless citizens
It is a housing scheme launched by the central government, with the aim of providing pucca houses to rural homeless citizens. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to families living in कच्चा houses or without roofs to build pucca houses, which have all the necessary facilities. The houses constructed under this scheme are reported according to geotag norms and the actual situation.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), the district-level investigation committee, formed on the instructions of Collector Gariabandh Mr. Uike, inspected six gram panchayats to clarify the actual situation regarding incomplete houses. During the inspection, the houses of beneficiaries Govardhan Nagesh, Kanhal Ram, and Gajin in Gram Panchayat Saraiwani were found to be in a complete state. In Gram Panchayat Usarijor, beneficiary Durgasingh’s house was found to be under construction, and its geotag was done at the plinth level. Due to the ongoing construction work, housewarming could not take place there. Information about the construction work is obtained through geotagging according to norms and the actual situation.
Beneficiary’s house fully constructed
The aim of this scheme is to provide a pucca house with basic facilities to all homeless families in rural areas. Beneficiaries are encouraged to use local materials and designs to build quality houses. The amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account. In Gram Panchayat Godhiyari of Gariagadh district, beneficiary Sukhchand’s house was found to be complete. Similarly, in Gram Panchayat Mudgelmal, beneficiary Bhanwar’s house was found to be fully constructed. The houses of beneficiaries Dhanmati and Nirobai in Amlepadar Panchayat were also found to be completely finished. Collector Mr. Uike clarified that the physical inspection at all sites and the matching of geotags recorded in the housing software have proven that housewarming has not been done in any incomplete house. All geotags have been done according to norms and the actual situation.
