Raipur. BJP leader Ratan Dubey was killed in Narayanpur 3 days before the Chhattisgarh assembly elections. In this case, NIA has today arrested Narayanpur District Congress Committee General Secretary Shivanand Nag from Raipur. The NIA had earlier arrested 4 people in the Ratan Dubey murder case and continued to monitor the murder. Today, the NIA team is also preparing to arrest Congress leader Shivanand Nag and present it in Jagdalpur NIA Court.

Let me tell you, Naxalites killed BJP leader Ratan Dubey on 4 November 2023 during the election campaign in the weekly market of Kaushalnar village in Narayanpur district. The Maoists attacked him with axes and killed him. The murder was done with the aim of disrupting the independent and fair election process and spread terror among the local people.
Police investigation revealed that Maoists are behind this murder. After this, the NIA took an investigation into the matter from the local police on 23 February 2024. On 5 June 2024, NIA filed the first charge sheet against one accused Dhan Singh Korram. Subsequently, on 20 December 2024, the NIA filed a chartheet against the banned organization CPI (Maoist Organization), Sanuram Korram, Laluram Korram and an armed Maoist cadre.
