A significant accident occurred on Wednesday at the NTPC plant located in Sipet. The incident resulted in the deaths of three workers, with an additional 10 to 15 workers injured. Initial reports indicate the accident was caused by the collapse of a pre-air heater platform. During maintenance activities, a large iron section of the air heater detached and fell, crushing the workers. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Sipet police station.
