The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the Janjgir-Champa district has apprehended a Patwari red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000. The accused Patwari, identified as Balmukund Rathore, was stationed at Gram Halaka No. 19, Dharashiv Putpura. The arrest followed a complaint from a local villager, Satendra Kumar Rathore, who alleged that the Patwari demanded the bribe for land rectification and demarcation work. Acting on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap on Friday and caught the Patwari in the act of accepting the bribe. The operation has sent ripples through government departments, and a case has been registered against the accused for further investigation.
