Candidates Demand Uniform Process for District Court Hiring in CG

Job seekers in Chhattisgarh are rallying against the split recruitment guidelines for district court positions. The state has announced vacancies for assistant grade‑3 officers and Hindi stenographers in ten districts, but the eligibility criteria differ drastically.

In Raipur and Rajnandgaon, a merit‑based cut‑off will restrict the pool to fifteen times the number of posts before candidates can appear for the written and practical exams. Conversely, in the other eight districts, every eligible graduate will be allowed to sit for the tests, with final selection based on both written scores and skill performance.

Applicants argue that the current system creates unjust discrimination, limiting opportunities for many capable candidates. They have appealed to the authorities to adopt a single set of rules that gives all applicants an equal chance to compete.
