Important decisions are anticipated during the meeting, which will commence at 12 noon. The cabinet will also discuss the ongoing monsoon season, focusing on issues such as the availability of fertilizers and seeds for farmers, and the shortage of DAP. Furthermore, discussions regarding the monsoon session are also on the agenda. The current Chief Secretary, Amitabh Jain, is set to retire on June 30th. He has served as the Chief Secretary for over four years, making him the longest-serving CS in the state. The selection of the new Chief Secretary is still uncertain. Potential candidates include Renuka Pillay and Subrat Sahu from the 1991 batch, along with ACS Manoj Pinguva and Richa Sharma from the 1994 batch. Additionally, Amit Agrawal, a 1993 batch officer currently serving as a secretary in the central government, is also being considered. The Chief Minister is expected to finalize the new CS after careful deliberation. The new Chief Secretary will be introduced at 11 am on June 30th during the cabinet meeting.
