CG Morning News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the virtual of rehabilitated railway stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on 22 May. Inauguration of many stations across the country is proposed on the occasion, including Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh and Urkura station adjacent to Raipur. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard by the Chhattisgarh Railway Administration. But the Ministry of Railways has shared pictures of the first and now of Urkura railway station rebelled under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on its official social media platform ‘X’. The post states that Urkura station has been equipped with modern facilities, including new station building, huge circulating area and porch, new waiting room, big parking system and modern toilets.
Chief Minister Sai will do accidental visit to various districts

The ‘Constitution Bachao rally’ of the Congress will start from Janjgir-Champa today. Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma will visit Dhamtari district today. He will leave Raipur for village Rudri at 11 am, where he will participate in the Samadhan Camp and inaugurate the new office of the District Panchayat President. Apart from this, he will attend the workshop organized on 10 new revolutions in the registry in Dhamtari Collectorate. By 4 pm, he will return to the capital Raipur.
NSUI performance at Pt. Ravi Shankar University today
Pt. Ravi Shankar will demonstrate at Shukla University today demanding a change in the time of NSUI semester examination. The demonstration will start at 1:30 pm, in which NSUI activists will submit a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor. It is noteworthy that currently semester examinations are being conducted from 6:30 am, due to which students are facing difficulties.
Two Chhattisgarh player selected in Junior India Hockey Team
Anisha Sahu and Geeta Yadav of Chhattisgarh have been selected in the Indian team for the Junior Four Nation Hockey Tournament to be held from 25 May to 2 June in Rosario, Argentina. Both the players were selected after the training camp held in Bangalore. The tournament is being organized in view of the preparations for the upcoming Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup (December 2025).
Anisha Sahu has been a member of the Junior India team for the last four years, while Geeta Yadav has been a part of the team for two years. Apart from India, teams from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile will participate in the tournament.
