In Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, significant action has been initiated against Navdurga Fuel Power Limited. Investigations by the Revenue Department have revealed that the company illegally occupied 23 acres of land belonging to the Gram Panchayat of Saraiapali for 20 years. The company’s claim over the land was found to be fraudulent. Following the confirmation, the department has issued an ultimatum, ordering the company to vacate the land within 15 days. The matter came to light after the Revenue Department received complaints about the illegal occupation of the land. Subsequent investigations uncovered that Navdurga Fuel Power Limited had taken possession of the government’s Kotwari land for its plant operations, allegedly using fabricated documents to claim ownership. Further inquiries revealed a conspiracy involving forged documents and collusion that facilitated the unlawful occupation of the land. The plant operated on this land for two decades until the Revenue Department exposed the scheme. The Revenue Department has issued a 15-day notice to the company, instructing it to vacate the land. If the land is not vacated within the stipulated time, the administration will take action to reclaim the land and initiate legal proceedings against the company. The local villagers of Saraiapali and neighboring areas have expressed their joy over the action. They thanked the administration, noting that the land had been encroached upon for many years and is now being freed.
