Chhattigarh News: Under the Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar Project, the affected farmers and landowners will now get four times compensation from the collector guideline rate. Earlier, the affected farmers of Nawa Raipur used to get only double compensation of their land. For this, the Naya Raipur State Government has decided to amend the ‘Land Purchase Policy 2017’ by the Atal Municipal Development Authority ‘Naya Raipur with mutual consent.
According to the officials of the Nawa Raipur Atal Municipal Development Authority, after the decision of the state government, the farmers affected will benefit greatly by providing compensation of the land to be purchased by mutual consent in the Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar Project area. At the same time, farmers who have not given their land to the authority by mutual consent in the project area, they will now be able to sell their land to the authority at a higher price with mutual consent. It has been told that in the Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar project area, other construction works including some roads are lying incomplete due to non -availability of land.
41 villages have been included in the Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar Project area. Most of the lands of farmers in the villages under Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar Layer-1 have been taken by the government through mutual consent or acquisition. In these, some farmers’ land is yet to be taken with mutual consent, which will now be given four times compensation. Apart from this, the affected farmers of villages under Layer-2 and Layer-3 will also get compensation of land under this policy.
The affected get rehabilitation
Rupan Chandrakar, chairman of the new capital affected Kisan Kalyan Samiti, says that the decision to give 4 times compensation to the affected farmers of Nawa Raipur with mutual consent is welcome. If the state government is really friendly to the farmers, then the price of the land in the areas adjoining Nawa Raipur gets four times compensation, then the farmers will benefit. Along with this, a rehabilitation policy should also be made for the affected farmers.
