Following a visit to Japan, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Chairman Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Kim Ki Hyun of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) in Seoul. KITA, the largest trade organization in South Korea with over 77,000 members, serves as a leading business platform in Asia. During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024-30, the state’s natural resources, and its skilled workforce, engaging in detailed discussions on investment, technology transfer, and skill development opportunities. The Chief Minister emphasized the strong ties between Chhattisgarh and South Korea, extending beyond mere trade to encompass cultural and historical connections, expressing his belief that this dialogue will pave the way for new collaborations in investment, technological cooperation, and skill development, ultimately providing modern industry opportunities for Chhattisgarh’s youth and accelerating the region’s industrial growth. The state government is committed to creating a favorable environment for investors, including streamlined approvals and essential infrastructure. The meeting also saw Chairman Yoon and Vice President Hyun expressing keen interest in Chhattisgarh’s investment-friendly policies and resources, with Korean companies enthusiastic about exploring investment possibilities and anticipating concrete partnership steps in the future. Sai also stated that this collaboration will directly benefit Chhattisgarh’s farmers, workers, and local entrepreneurs, generating thousands of jobs in sectors such as food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy. Additionally, technology transfer will improve the quality and competitiveness of local industries, propelling the state’s economy and establishing Chhattisgarh as a model of self-reliance and global partnership in the coming years.
