Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai distributed Rs 2 lakh each to 31 meritorious children of registered workers who secured top positions in the 10th and 12th standards under the Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana. He also transferred over Rs 19.71 crore to the bank accounts of 38,200 construction workers registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The CM emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of worker families, including provisions for financial aid up to Rs 50 lakh for those wishing to study abroad. He highlighted the state’s attractive industrial policy, with investment proposals exceeding Rs 5 lakh crore, promising significant employment opportunities. The CM shared his past experience as Union Minister of State for Labour and mentioned the historical steps taken to improve workers’ pensions and address unclaimed PF funds. He urged the dissemination of information about labor department schemes to benefit more workers. Minister of Labour emphasized the simplification of rules under the new industrial policy, leading to increased investment and job creation.
