Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a state-level cyber awareness campaign in Raipur by flagging off the SBI Cyber Vigilance Rath (audio-video van). Sai highlighted technology’s role in simplifying life and facilitating digital transactions, while also acknowledging the rise of cyber fraud. He emphasized that vigilance and caution are crucial for people to avoid cyber scams.
The Chief Minister stated that the awareness campaign aims to enhance public understanding of cyber security. It will utilize audio-video messages, street plays, and puppet shows to educate people about cyber fraud. Sai mentioned that 29 hotspots in the state have been identified where cyber fraud cases are prevalent, and the campaign will focus on these areas.
Sai urged the public to safeguard their bank account details, passwords, and OTPs, and to avoid clicking on unknown links. He noted that cybercriminals continually devise new methods to deceive people, and a moment of carelessness can jeopardize hard-earned money. The goal is to raise awareness and help people protect themselves from cybercrime.
In response to increasing incidents of digital fraud and unauthorized transactions, the State Bank of India (SBI), as the ‘banker of every Indian,’ has launched the statewide cyber security awareness campaign. The campaign will run from August 15 to November 30, 2025. The rath will travel to all 33 districts of the state, using theatrical performances and street plays to inform people about cyber fraud tactics and preventive measures.
SBI officials informed that complaints regarding online financial fraud can be reported to the helpline number 1930.
