Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House. During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav, a silver jubilee celebration, to be held in Raipur on November 1, 2025, as the chief guest. Furthermore, the Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the state government’s future plans, development priorities, and key public welfare initiatives.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi. He mentioned the state government’s preparation of the Anjor Vision @2047 document, which outlines a framework for inclusive and sustainable development in Chhattisgarh, keeping in view the goal of a developed India. This vision document focuses on improvements and innovation-based initiatives in sectors such as education, health, agriculture, industry, innovation, and environment.
The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister that the Chhattisgarh government has passed the Jan Vishwas Vidheyak 2025, inspired by the central government’s Jan Vishwas Act 2023, which has increased transparency in the justice system and made it more accessible to the general public.
The Chief Minister also shared information about the Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA), formed for the planned and rapid development of Nava Raipur. He stated that the authority is developing the capital region into a modern, smart, and rapidly developing urban center.
Chief Minister Sai also informed the Prime Minister about the significant progress being made in industrial investment and job creation in the state. He mentioned that the new Industrial Policy 2024-30, implemented in 2024, has resulted in increasing interest from investors in the state. Under the policy, a single-window system has been implemented, making the establishment of industries simpler, faster, and more transparent. Special incentives are being given to industries providing employment to more than 1000 people.
Chief Minister Sai stated that a total of investment proposals worth Rs 6.65 lakh crore have been received from 84 companies between November 2024 and July 2025. He also mentioned that the foundation stone for the country’s first semiconductor unit has been laid in Nava Raipur, and construction of an AI data center has also begun. Similarly, Chhattisgarh is being developed as a technical and industrial hub, with a focus on textiles, pharma, readymade garments, and IT services.
Discussing the state’s education system, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to ensuring quality education in rural and remote areas through the rationalization of schools and teachers. Continuous efforts are being made to connect education with technology in tribal areas with the help of digital resources and trained teachers.
The Chief Minister also informed the Prime Minister that the state government is rapidly working on two new ambitious projects, Medicity and Edu City. Medicity, being developed in Raipur, is emerging as a modern and excellent healthcare center, which will give Chhattisgarh recognition as a medical hub and provide employment opportunities on a large scale.
Chief Minister Sai also mentioned the ongoing rehabilitation and confidence-building schemes in the Naxal-affected areas. He said that as a result of the state government’s sensitive and far-sighted policies, a large number of Naxalites have surrendered and returned to normal life. Rapid expansion of basic facilities such as education, health, communication, and roads is being done in these areas, which has strengthened the confidence of the common citizens in the government and is inspiring them to join the mainstream of development.
