In the Chhawani police station area, a younger brother fatally attacked his elder brother with a hatchet and fled the scene. It is reported that the two brothers had been involved in a long-standing dispute. Both brothers were alcoholics. Police have registered a case and initiated a search for the accused.
According to information, a dispute occurred between Rajveer Singh and Mahendra Singh, residents of Subhash Nagar, Nandani Road, as it often did. The argument escalated into verbal abuse, which then turned into a physical altercation.
In the midst of this, Rajveer Singh grabbed a hatchet and repeatedly struck Mahendra Singh on the head. Mahendra Singh also attempted to retaliate with a knife, but before he could, he died at the scene.
After committing the crime, the accused, Rajveer Singh, escaped. Upon receiving the information, SP Vijay Agrawal, Additional SP, and CSP, along with a team of forensic experts, are at the scene conducting investigations.
