Electricity consumers in Chhattisgarh are set to experience a significant increase in their bills starting in September. For the past 6 years and 5 months, residents of Chhattisgarh have benefited from a 50% discount on electricity consumption up to 400 units. This resulted in bills being halved. However, the government has discontinued this subsidy from August 1st, and the impact will be reflected in the electricity bills received in September. Consumers will now be required to pay between 558 and 1223 rupees more on their monthly electricity bills.
