On the occasion of Independence Day, all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas in Chhattisgarh will hoist the tricolor flag. This directive has been issued by the Chhattisgarh Waqf Board. The order states that this year, August 15th marks the 78th Independence Day of the country. On this occasion, the tricolor flag should be hoisted at the main entrances of all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas in the state. The Waqf Board has written to all Mutawallis in the state, instructing them to hoist the national flag with respect on Independence Day. Along with this, the national anthem should also be performed. Waqf Board President Dr. Salim Raj said that this decision was taken to strengthen the message of national unity, harmony, and brotherhood.
