Research conducted at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur, India, has revealed promising results regarding a rare rice variety from Chhattisgarh. The research, spearheaded by the Genetics and Plant Breeding department, indicates that consuming this rice, named ‘Sanjeevani,’ can eliminate cancer cells. This breakthrough could potentially revolutionize cancer treatment, offering a non-surgical, non-radiation based solution. The rice variety, sourced from the Sukma region of Bastar, has shown remarkable properties in preclinical trials. The rice contains 213 types of biochemicals, with 7 of them identified as cancer-fighting agents.
