An incident occurred in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh shortly after Independence Day. Naxalites brutally murdered a young villager. This youth, displaying courage, had hoisted the national flag in his village on August 15th. The deceased has been identified as Manesh Nareti, a resident of Binagunda village in the Chhotebetia police station area, reportedly 28 years old.
Naxalism appears to be on its last legs. Naxalites are either surrendering or being killed. The desperation of the remaining Naxalites is evident. While the entire country celebrated its independence on August 15th, there was an area in Chhattisgarh where the youth were attempting to show their love for the country after decades, but the Naxalites did not like this. The Naxalites murdered the youth.
