Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Guru Darshan and Sant Samagam Mela held in Bhandarpuri Dham, Raipur district. He inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 162 crore, including new road construction, widening, and strengthening. Sai announced the construction of a dome, streetlights on the Telasi-Bhandarpuri road, and the upgrading of Kutesar Primary School to a secondary school. He stated the government would fully sponsor pilot training for five youths from the community. Sai sought blessings from the Guru Gaddi for the state’s prosperity and highlighted the ideals of Baba Guru Ghasidas, emphasizing their embodiment of humanity and equality. He noted that the Satnami community has progressed due to Guru Baba’s message of unity. Sai mentioned the positive changes since his last visit to the mela and acknowledged the appointment of Guru Khushwant Saheb as a minister, who is now responsible for the development of Scheduled Castes and Tribes and youth skill training. He highlighted the rapid development in all regions of the state and the fulfillment of promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the completion of over nine thousand government jobs and the commencement of recruitment for five thousand posts in the education department. A department for good governance and convergence has been established to ensure transparency. He stated that the government is committed to a corruption-free administration. The budget for the Scheduled Caste community’s development authority, formed during Dr. Raman Singh’s tenure, has been increased from Rs 50 crore to Rs 75 crore.
