Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the inaugural of a three-day basic/orientation training program for newly elected Zila Panchayat Presidents and Vice-Presidents at the Thakur Pyarelal State Panchayat and Rural Development Institute in Nimora, Raipur. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai emphasized that Panchayati Raj institutions are the backbone of rural development. He noted the significant opportunity and responsibility entrusted to the newly elected officials. He stated that a single individual, with strong will, can transform the entire district. Sharing his personal journey, he mentioned starting his political career as a Panch and how he rose to become Chief Minister, highlighting the importance of public service and the blessings of the people. He cited examples of individuals like Dr. Achyut Samant and Nanaji Deshmukh who have significantly contributed to societal upliftment through education and rural development initiatives. He also discussed Chhattisgarh’s potential and ongoing efforts to combat Naxalism and bring development to the state, including the transformation of the Muler village. He urged the newly elected officials to prioritize quality in development works and regularly inspect their areas to accelerate progress.
