At the Shubham “K Mart” in Raipur, the Chief Minister of the state made a surprise visit to understand the impact of GST savings. He purchased essential household items worth 1,645 rupees, paying via UPI. He interacted with shoppers, inquiring about the difference in prices of household goods due to the GST rate cuts. The Chief Minister not only bought groceries, benefiting from the reduced GST rates but also engaged with the public. He inquired about the impact on household budgets, and discussed daily life with the youth and senior citizens. His approachable behavior touched many, who expressed that the state’s leader was among them as a common citizen.
During interactions, he listened to views on GST reforms. People shared that they were greatly relieved by the reduced prices of medicines and rations. He smiled, stating, “This is the real objective, that the impact of the reforms reaches the common people.” Purchasing items himself and observing the new prices, he added, “This improvement is not just on paper but a visible change in every family’s life.” He urged everyone to support the Swadeshi movement, to which people responded with enthusiastic support.
