Inspected the Under-Construction Mahtari Sadan, Watered the Curing
Inspection and Inauguration of Schemes in Achhoti and Murmunda
Raipur, May 20 / As part of the Good Governance Tihar being run by the state government with the aim of delivering good governance to the masses, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today made a surprise visit to village Achhoti in Dhamdha development block of Durg district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai suddenly arrived at village Achhoti by helicopter and inspected the Mahtari Sadan being constructed at a cost of Rs 29.20 lakh in the DIET College campus. He assessed the quality of the construction work and conveyed a message of strength and transparency by personally watering the columns of the building. The Mahtari Sadan will serve as a center for empowerment of rural women and community dialogue.
After this, the Chief Minister reached Murmunda, where he inaugurated 226 houses built under the Atal Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister personally handed over the key of Atal Awas No. 226 to the beneficiary Shri Tushar and gave him entry into the house. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also handed over the keys to their houses to other beneficiaries and congratulated and wished them well. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma along with other public representatives were also present on this occasion.
The objective of Good Governance Tihar is to effectively deliver government schemes and services to the grassroots level, encourage public participation and ensure accountability of the administration. Under this campaign, various programs such as solution camps, inspection visits, review of development works and speedy implementation of schemes are being conducted across the state. The Chief Minister Shri Sai’s sudden visit to villages across the state, his own presence in the solution camps and the redressal of public problems is an important dimension in the direction of strengthening good governance, due to which the feeling of trust and participation of the general public in the government has been further strengthened.
