Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay's Leadership Gives New Identity to Rural Health Services

Raipur, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay, the Chhattisgarh government is continuously making effective efforts to provide each citizen of the state with quality, accessible and reliable health services. As a result of this pro‑people mindset and continuous improvement in health‑service quality, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Chanadongri, located in the Gaurela development block of the Gaurela‑Pendra‑Marwahi district, has obtained the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification with a score of 88.57 per cent. This achievement is a significant milestone for the state in strengthening rural health services, better management and a people‑centred health system. A national level evaluation team conducted a detailed inspection of the health institution. During the visit, the team assessed quality of services, patient satisfaction, cleanliness, record keeping, drug availability, human resource management, infrastructure, biomedical waste management and community participation among other criteria. Scoring excellently on all parameters, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Chanadongri earned 88.57 per cent and received the national quality certification. The center regularly provides comprehensive primary health services to local villagers, including outpatient care, maternal and child health services, routine immunisation, family planning, non‑communicable disease screening and counselling, mental health services, tele‑medicine, health awareness and counselling, free medicine distribution and essential diagnostic tests. Because of these facilities, people from surrounding villages no longer have to depend on distant hospitals for quality care and can receive treatment locally. To date, 14 health institutions in the Gaurela‑Pendra‑Marwahi district, including Chanadongri, have been certified under NQAS, and preparations are ongoing to certify the remaining institutions. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sahay, the state continues to strengthen health services, develop modern health infrastructure, empower primary health centres and extend quality health care to rural areas. The increasing number of institutions achieving national quality certification demonstrates effective progress in bringing Chhattisgarh’s health services up to national standards. The certification awarded to Ayushman Arogya Mandir Chanadongri is a matter of pride not only for the Gaurela‑Pendra‑Marwahi district but for the entire state, exemplifying excellence, transparency, accountability and public trust in the robust, people‑oriented health system being built under the Chief Minister’s leadership.
