India celebrates its 79th Independence Day today. Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, will hoist the flag at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur and take the salute. Following this, the Chief Minister will honor police officers and employees with various medals and decorations during the ceremony. These include the Indian Police Medal, Police Gallantry Medal, President’s Police Medal, Home Guard and Civil Defense Commendable Service Medal, and the Director General of Police Award. Furthermore, 780 children will perform on patriotic songs.
