Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed deep displeasure regarding the incident of the Lutti dam breach in the Balrampur-Ramanujganj district. He issued a stern warning, stating that such errors will not be tolerated under any circumstances in the future. Shri Sai voiced his concern, noting that field officers and employees are not conducting regular inspections, which has led to this situation. He instructed all officers and employees to continuously inspect dams and other structures by visiting the field regularly.
Chief Minister Shri Sai chaired an in-depth review meeting of the Water Resources Department at the Mahanadi Bhawan in the Ministry today. He provided necessary guidelines to the officials concerning the maintenance and repair of irrigation projects, the water storage capacity of all dams, the current irrigation status, and the progress of upcoming projects. Furthermore, he specifically directed strict adherence to the Dam Safety Act 2021 and the establishment of effective coordination with the district administration.
