Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sahu checks on injured BJP president at Medanta

While on an official visit to Delhi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sahu received an urgent update about a road mishap involving BJP state president Kiran Singh Dev. The leader, who had been returning from a pilgrimage at Bagshawar Dham, suffered a collision on the Jhansi‑Lalitpur stretch, prompting immediate medical evacuation to Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon.

The CM promptly flew to Gurgaon, entered the intensive care unit, and spoke directly with Dev. He expressed solidarity, wished a quick recovery, and reassured the leader of the government's full support. The chief minister also conferred with the hospital’s senior physicians, reviewing the treatment protocol and ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated.

According to the Medanta team, Dev’s condition is out of life‑threatening danger. His injuries are localized to his right leg and lower spine. Continuous monitoring by a multidisciplinary team has stabilized his health parameters.
