Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai's vision will be highlighted through the 'Smiling Bastar' cartoon workshop. A cartoon workshop on the theme 'Smiling Bastar' will be held in Jagdalpur. School students will receive training from senior cartoonists. A new expression of Bastar's culture, tourism and development will be achieved through cartoon art. In Raipur, with the cooperation of the Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department, the country's only monthly cartoon magazine Cartoon Watch will organize a special cartoon workshop on the 'Smiling Bastar' theme for school students in Jagdalpur. The workshop will train students in cartoon and caricature art and inspire them to creatively depict Bastar's culture, tourism and folk life. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Bastar is establishing new dimensions of development, tourism and cultural identity. Bastar is gaining new recognition worldwide for its natural beauty, tribal culture and tourist spots. Chitrakot and Tirathgarh waterfalls, Kanger Valley National Park, Bastar Dussehra and other folk festivals are symbols of Bastar's rich heritage. Cartoon Watch editor Mr. Tryambak Sharma said the workshop theme 'Smiling Bastar' aims to give a creative expression to these positive aspects through cartoon art. In this workshop, senior cartoonist Mr. Madhav Joshi from Delhi and renowned caricature artist Mr. Shubham Jinde from Pune will provide live demos and on‑spot training in cartoon and caricature making. Students will also be introduced to the social, creative and employment aspects of cartoon art. Through the workshop, local talents will get a platform and Bastar's positive identity can be showcased across the country through art. The 'Smiling Bastar' campaign is a creative effort to connect the new generation with its culture, folk traditions and natural heritage.
