Contractors Must Enroll on GePNIC Before Oct 1 to Access PWD Tenders

A directive from the Chhattisgarh Public Works Department requires all contractors to complete their GePNIC registration before 1 October 2026. Without a valid enrollment, bidders will be ineligible to submit proposals for any new PWD projects.

The department’s chief engineer sent letters to the presidents of contractor federations, highlighting the importance of timely enrollment and providing guidance on the process. The enrollment drive is being accelerated to ensure that no eligible contractor misses the upcoming tender window.

GePNIC will host the entire procurement cycle, eliminating the need for the older e‑procurement system. From tender issuance to final approval, every step will be digital, streamlining operations and reducing manual interventions.

While the new portal goes live on 1 October, the older system will continue to process existing tenders until the end of March 2027, after which it will cease all activities.
