A significant controversy has arisen in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, regarding an advertisement for an obscene party that required attendees to be nude. According to a social media post, the party was scheduled for September 21st. The invitation was extended to individuals over 18 years of age. The news spread rapidly, sparking significant political debate. Within 24 hours, Raipur police took action and arrested seven individuals linked to the event.
Police investigations are ongoing, but a key question is how such private parties could allegedly occur without the police’s knowledge. A poster for the party went viral on social media, leading to widespread opposition. Police conducted a raid prior to the event and arrested the organizers. Digital evidence, including Instagram IDs, was recovered from the organizers’ mobile phones. However, those arrested deny they were organizing such a party.
Police sources suggest that the organizers aimed to gain popularity and make money through fraud. The advertisement for the party did not specify a location or provide information on financial transactions.
Details of the party included an entry fee of 40,000 rupees, with overnight accommodation available. The event was promoted on social media platforms like Instagram. Plans included taking money via a link or messenger to reveal details later. Allegedly, some individuals paid between 20,000 and 40,000 rupees for single and couple entries. There are claims that girls involved in drug rackets were also involved in these kinds of parties.
The issue has also stirred political and social unrest. The Congress party accused the BJP government of enabling such events. The BJP claimed to have taken action within 24 hours. BJP MLA Ajay Chandrakar also cited instances of crimes occurring during the Congress’s tenure. The Women’s Commission demanded strict action. Hindu organizations protested and demanded the closure of clubs. The NSUI protested, alleging police negligence despite prior information.
The police have registered a case under IPC section 79 (causing public disturbance), IT Act sections 67/67A (obscene material), and other sections. The event has become a subject of intense debate within social and cultural circles in Chhattisgarh. The Chhattisgarh police have apprehended an interstate suspect from Madhya Pradesh in connection with the promotion of the obscene party invitation.
On September 13th, an invitation for a Raipur **** PARTY was posted on the Instagram handle sinful_writer1. When this invitation went viral, the police began investigating. The police have cancelled the party and arrested the organizers. The police investigation revealed that the main accused is from the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh. The police have arrested the accused and are investigating.
